What sets Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning apart from other companies in the area?
Isaac’s technicians are North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certified. Combined, Isaac’s technicians have more than 450 specialty certifications. Isaac’s technicians have more certifications than any other privately held company in the country. A new technician with Isaac will receive more training in the first six weeks than many other technicians will receive in their lifetime.
Do you offer financing?
Isaac offers financing on new installations. Our Project Managers will help you navigate the process and find the best option to suit your needs.
How long have you been in business?
Isaac has been a family-owned and operated business since 1945. Originating in Rochester, NY, Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning has since expanded into Central and Western NY, as well as the Southern Tier and the Finger Lakes.
Does Isaac offer services such as electrical, plumbing or carpentry?
Currently, Isaac offers residential heating and air conditioning as well as commercial HVAC/R work. In addition to that, Isaac also offers a wide range of services and installations for electrical, plumbing, mold remediation, insulation and ventilation projects. Check out our Residential and Commercial pages for a full list of offerings.
What should I do to prepare my HVAC system for the winter/summer season?
The best preparation is the annual maintenance. To schedule a precision tune up and safety inspection, contact your local branch, begin a chat session, or use our Book Now feature.
How much does duct cleaning cost?
Isaac is happy to schedule you for a no-cost, customized estimate for our duct cleaning & sanitizing services. There are several variables that affect the price, including the number of ducts, their locations, and what type of ductwork is in your home. Isaac will then supply you with an estimate for the work.
What type of indoor air quality (IAQ) products do you offer?
We offer Guardian Air purifiers and the I-Wave purifiers. These products filter your indoor air and kill harmful airborne particles. We also offer whole home duct cleanings with a sanitizing option to help eliminate mold, mildew and odors in the ductwork.
I am concerned about COVID-19 as well as other indoor air quality issues. Does your company provide solutions for this?
MarkedSafe™ by Isaac is a three-step certified home sanitizing service. During this process, your MarkedSafe™ trtained technician will pre-test your surfaces, treat and then certify that your home or business has been sanitized. We use a hospital-grade sanitizing solution that is backed by the CDC and EPA. It is safe for people, animals and food. Call us for more information on MarkedSafe™ by Isaac. We also offer options for indoor air quality (IAQ) Products. You can learn more about having IAQ installed in your home by visiting our
Air Quality page.
What are MERV filters and can I get one?
A Merv Filter is a furnace filter. The letters stand for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. The higher the MERV value is, the more efficient the filter will be in trapping airborne particles. MERV values range from one to 20. Home air filters are usually rated between five and 13. Isaac does install MERV 13 filters. Filters can be purchased from Isaac and picked up at our branches. They are also available at neighborhood stores and online retailers.
The upstairs of my home is warmer than the rest of the house when the air conditioning is running. What can I do?
To evaluate the cause of this, you would want to schedule an estimate for a zoning quote. This estimate will evaluate your home for possible problems that are causing the varied temperatures throughout your home.
Isaac can also balance your heating and air conditioning systems using your dampers on the supply runs — if that is a possible option.
I had someone come out and give me a quote, when will they be getting back to me with a price?
The timing on this depends on the complexity of the quote and if you are anticipating using a loan vendor. Your Isaac Project Manager should have a proposal ready during the initial quote appointment. Sometimes, if loan approvals are involved or if the job is more complex, it could take approximately one to three days on average to receive a final price.
You can always reach out to your Project Manager with any questions. They will be more than happy to answer any questions along the way.
When will I get my rebate check?
The timing on your rebate check depends on the type of rebate you are expecting. For a utility rebate, such as RGE, NYSEG, etc., this is handled by the customer and takes about four to six weeks from when customer submits application to the utility company. For a manufacturer rebate, such as Lennox, Rheem, etc., this is handled internally by the office staff at Isaac and takes about four to six weeks from the installation date.
For RGE and NYSEG details, as well as links to applications, email adresses and mailing info, please visit our
Rebates page.
