Purpose

This is a Management-level position. The purpose of this position is to use experience and leadership abilities to oversee, lead and develop Commercial Operations.  This individual will be responsible for the budget, performance, productivity, growth and overall culture of the commercial operations team.  The operations team will consist of Office Administrators, Project Managers, Estimators, Sales, Engineering and support staff personnel.
 

Requirements

Essential Functions
  • Establish and manage the yearly budget to control expenses
  • Manage and lead all employees in the department
  • Oversee and adjust the department structure and staffing to maintain scalability
  • Create and manage to department and company policies and procedures
  • Work with the team to review and resolve outstanding AR.
  • Responsible for training, development and oversight of the department.
  • Work with the VP of Commercial Installation to perform the following for the department:
    • Determine department budgetary needs
    • Establish vision and goals
    • Create strategic initiatives
  • Conduct regular 1:1’s and annual performance reviews with direct reports.
  • Lead the yearly review process for all employees in the department
  • Maintain constant communication with all members of the team.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Requirements
  • Adapting to temperature (occasional). Ability to work in hot or cold environments either inside or outside of the business.
  • Standing (frequent). For sustained periods of time on hard surfaces.
  • Walking (frequent). Moving on or about on foot to accomplish tasks.
  • Talking (frequent). Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Hearing (constant). Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound in order to successfully troubleshoot equipment.
  • Seeing (constant). Ability to see in the following manner with or without corrective lenses: ability to read/see near or far, judge distances, and identify colors.
  • Attendance and punctuality (regular/predictable). Regular/predictable attendance and punctuality for this position is required.
Additional Requirements
  • Management and or leadership experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Coursework or experience related to management, finance, HVAC, plumbing, construction management or mechanical engineering is preferred
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Management, finance, HVAC, plumbing, construction management or mechanical engineering is preferred

  • Sitting (frequently). For sustained periods of time while traveling to branch(es) and/or during meetings.
  • Standing (frequently).  For sustained periods of time on hard surfaces.
  • Walking (occasionally).  Moving on or about on foot to accomplish tasks.
  • Typing (constant). Using a computer keyboard, mouse, and phone keypad.
  • Talking (constant). Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Hearing (constant). Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and document accurately what was heard in the client profile.
  • Seeing (constant). Ability to see in the following manner with or without corrective lenses: ability to read/see near or far, judge distances, and identify colors.
  • Attendance and punctuality (regular/predictable). Regular/predictable attendance and punctuality for this position is required, compliance required at every level.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, distracting environment.
